The food and ambiance at Toro truly delighted in every way. I enjoyed the well made drinks and above par service also. The paella brought home top honors in my opinion - a pleasant surprise for a San Antonio based restaurant. The owners Mexican/Spanish heritage shined through in the complexity and richness of the menu offerings here. If you're in San Antonio for any reason, you must experience Toro. Toro holds a special place in my heart as one of my all-time favorite restaurants. Even though I don't live nearby, it's become a tradition to visit every year for my birthday or anniversary. Without fail, each visit is a delightful experience. Their paellas are a standout dish—creamy, flavorful, and generously packed with seafood and meats. And their sangria? Absolutely divine! I opt for the pitcher to save some bucks over individual glasses. I've been recommending Toro to all my friends and family whenever they're in San Antonio, and they've never been disappointed.

I’m so glad I accidentally discovered this spot while walking downtown. The service was truly exceptional and the food was so delicious. I also loved the decor and ambiance. Good music! Below is my rating on the goods I tried: *Octopus ceviche: 4/5 - very flavorful and well prepped just a little salty *Shrimp & Chorizo Montadito: 5/5 *Pay de Queso (Cheesecake): 5/5 - hands down best I’ve had *Paella Marinera: 4/5 - great flavors but needs more protein

1st time visit, our exchange student from Spain really wanted something that felt like home cooking. We tried it all, pretty much from appetizers x3 different ones, large Paella , and x3 different dessert . 1st time trying it all, and ended up with leftover and a full belly of delicious food. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff, great selection of wine, beer on tap, or specialty drinks. The Paella Lrg size was enough for the 3 of us, and she still had some to take home. Reasonably priced, parking on the street wasn't avb but was able to park at the train depo within walking distance, also inexpensive hourly rate. I can't wait to try out Toro's other restaurants next door next time we're downtown.

I made sure to visit this place every time I was in San Antonio. While the other dishes such as the tapas are average, but the paella is truly outstanding.

Had our wedding reception at Toro back in March in the courtyard. The food was amazing and so were the drinks. The staff was very polite and helpful. The weather was amazing and the location is so convenient with its proximity to downtown. Having our wedding reception here was the best decision we've ever made.

We were looking for a new Epicurean experience, so we tried Toro Kitchen Bar. We came around 4 pm. There were tables available, and there was happy hour. Before we go to the food and drinks, we want to give kudos to our server. She was very knowledgeable of the menu. Service was top notch. We had the Sangria. We also fulfilled one of our foodie bucket list, Jamon Iberico de Bellota. We also tried several tapas. Another highlight was the paella. Overall, it was a great experience. The ambiance was really good. We will definitely go back, and try out the rest of the menu.
